Welcome to Plunkets Restaurant in High Petergate, York. This year we celebrate our 30th Birthday and we'd like to thank all of our customers for their support over that time. By offering top quality food and service within the special environment that is Plunkets, hopefully we'll have another successful 30 years.

Our website will hopefully give you an idea of the sights and flavours of the restaurant. You should expect a cosy and intimate dining experience with us.

Plunkets Food

A good part of our menu is based on food originating in Mexico and the American South west. There is a real feeling of excitement and pride in the food from these countries and we try wherever possible to use fresh ingredients in order to make our "imitations" authentic. Fresh chilli plays an important role but it is the distinctive colour and variety which make the taste buds tingle. The food sizzles with flavour, colour and texture.

There is no need to book a table at Plunkets unless you have a party of 6 or over.
